Continued from teaser Previously posted, Modenas today launched the Z15 GT, a model previously known as the Supermoped 150. Priced at RM8,288 excluding insurance, it comes in Rosso Red, Graphite Gray and Nardo Gray.
As mentioned earlier, the Z15 GT is a brand new motorcycle, developed by Modenas with technical partners from various countries and input from Kawasaki. Power is provided by a liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder 149.5 cc engine with fuel injection and a compression ratio of 12.6:1.
Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with manual clutch lever, this motorcycle can produce 16.8 PS at 9,500 rpm and 13.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine can only be started with an electric starter (no footkicker), while the fuel tank has a capacity of 5.7 liters.
The bike’s body is connected to the road by a 17-inch rim setup with 90/80 front and 120/70 rear tires, held respectively by fork telescopic and monoshock (Kayaba). The brakes consist of front and rear disc units, but ABS is only available for the front (single channel).
In the cockpit you will see a digital LCD gauge, which is used to display important information including speed, rpm, gear position and oil level. The control buttons are conventionally arranged and also equipped with an emergency lighting function kill switch.
Other equipment available on the Modenas Z15 GT includes LED front and rear lights, a smart lock system and a USB charging socket.
