Miss World 2025 participants argue for breast cancer consciousness

Five participants of the Miss World 2025 procession, including Miss India Nandini Gupta, visited Kims Hospitals and the Kims-UShalakshmi Center for Breast Diseases here on Tuesday evening. The visit was aimed at encouraging participants to go into meaningful social causes during the India bone of the parade.

Miss India were Miss Northern Ireland Hannah Johns, Miss Cameroon Issie Princessse, Miss Guadeloupe Neomi Milne and Miss Turkey Idil Bilgen. The delegation was welcomed by B. Bhaskar Rao, chairman and director of Kims Hospitals. “A very warm welcome to the Miss World 2025 delegation that our Institute visits,” he said, expressing his appreciation for the interest of the participants in health care initiatives.

P. Raghu Ram, founder of the Kims-Ushalakshmi Center for Breast Diseases, spoke the meeting with an emotional report of his 18-year-old journey that is committed to consciousness and care for breast cancer in India. “The work of the foundation, inspired by my mother’s own struggle with breast cancer, has received support from colleagues, friends and the government. Early detection saves lives and I have devoted my life to improving breast cancer care in my motherland.”

During the event, the participants shared personal stories about losing lovers against cancer and how those experiences were their desire to record impactful causes. Because of their involvement in ‘Beauty with a goal’, they have launched each projects in their home country aimed at improving public health and the consciousness of cancer.
