Now Millwall could be set to let another player leave during the transfer window. According to reporter Will ScottAidomo Emakhu is attracting a lot of interest from several teams in the championship. Any deal made would be a permanent transfer for the 22-year-old.

Aidomo Emakhu to leave Millwall?

Championship news

The Irishman was subject to interest in the summer, with Millwall rejecting two bids from League One team Wycombe Wanderers. Alex Neil said the 22-year-old was in his plans at the start of the season, but now that more than half the season has been completed his decision may have changed.

Emakhu has been a regular in the side this season, but his lack of end product is taking a toll on his chances of a future at The Den. The Lions signed him from Shamrock Rovers in 2022, when he was 19.

Aidomo Emakhu’s stats for Millwall

The winger did not feature in the last draw against Sheffield United and has mainly spent the last ten games on the bench for the south London outfit. It could be time for the Irishman to move on and progress his career.

Championship clubs interested in Emakhu

Despite his lack of goals for Millwall, Emakhu is still a player who can cause many problems for the opposition defense over the course of 90 minutes.

The 22-year-old can play up front or on either flank. In his short career to date, he has been most effective as a late substitute to rescue a point or end a match. Last weekend he scored the fourth for the Lions against Charlton Athletic.

Neil’s side’s interest in several wingers this month is a telltale sign that they are open to offers for the Irishman, and there are said to be plenty of suitors in the Championship. The Addicks could be a side Emakhu wants to pursue. With Rob Apter on loan, Championship experience is needed to help survive.
