Excellent four -year -old Miki to Success (always B Miki) claimed at a Eureka spot when he scored an extensive victory in the Racenet Discovery Stakes in Menangle on Saturday evening. The race was programmed for the last chance Eureka opportunities and put together an even field.
Miki had raced only once before on Menangle when Eighth in Brand’s charger earlier this year, but his trainer Emma Stewart must of course have considered him a serious prospect to send him to Sydney for a preparatory race.
Miki to Success 23 August play again
This time he was driven by Cameron Hart who did not take the gelding early. Royal Cruiser whose connections were sure to obtain a Eureka spot, showed early speed to record the running. Miki to success gradually went up to race past the leader with a round to travel and Ravishing Sloy took one and one rear path.
Hart exerted some pressure on Royal Cruiser in the back and in a flash Miki to success clearly moved and despite the harder run he sprinted away. And the gorge grew up the house straight ahead and he played with his rivals to beat Ravishing Sloy with more than 15 meters with glitter and gold fights for third place.

Miki to success ran the 2300 meters in 1.52.5 and brings itself in a serious position for the Eureka. Trainer Emma Stewart could already have a maximum of four runners in the event with Bay of Biscay confirmed.
Driver Cameron Hart was full of praise for Miki to Success.
“He became incredible. I just felt really confident the whole way. He just traveled beautiful”.
“He just got over the ground and really jogged it. A pretty great achievement from him”.
“Coming from the gate, I didn’t want to push him too much. He can clearly be a bit quirky, clearly the first time behind him I was convinced that he could do that work and win.”
“So I took no risk early and was able to sniff on. I felt that the front part of the race was quite controlled and with Brad (on Royal Cruiser) the most important danger in us I thought I would put a little pressure on him along the back”.
“Once I got him with him, he just wanted to race him and he felt great”.
“He is a very impressive horse and I am sure he would scare some of the runners”.
That seems like a fairly ominous explanation that some of the lock holders can get interested.
Royal Cruiser beat to finish last, but luckily no abnormalities were reported in the vet’s examination.
