New Crowned Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Harness Racing Champions Miki and Minnie (Always B Miki) and Louprint (Dear Lou) was no. 1 and no. 2 in the week 13 edition of the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown Poll.
Miki and Minnie, who won the pass title for 3-year-old female pacers, are already number 1 for six consecutive weeks. Louprint, who won the pass for second-year male pacers, was number 1 for the seven weeks before. He moved from the fourth to second place in the poll this week after winning his second consecutive start since he had set offside for a few weeks.
The remaining three horses in the top five of this week – Yo Tillie, Sylvia Hanover and Super Chapter – also posted victories last week.
Yo Tillie won the New Jersey classic for 3-year-old female trotters, Sylvia Hanover won the Open for Marries and Marries in Woodbine Mohawk Park, and Super Chapter won the fourth stage of the Kentucky Sire Sire Stakes Championship Series.
Sylvia Hanover and no. 6 Twin B Joe Fresh, who won a qualifying match in 1:51 in the Meadowlands, meet 2 Milton Stakes in Mohawk on Saturday.
The only other horse in the top 10 racing last week was Prince Hanover, who was the second for Louprint in the Pass Championship.
There were no newcomers in the top 10.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown Poll, which will continue on Wednesday through the Grand Circuit season on Wednesday, does not determine any prices before the end of the year. The members of the US Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Division Division of Dan Patch Award Plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
