Microsoft is working on a novelty for Copilot: it’s hot “Live portraits” And although it is currently in the experimental phase, it promises to make the assistant of the most human and fascinating. The purpose of this function is to make Copilot a little more tangible, visually recognizable, to leave the concept of pure text or vocal virtual assistant. Microsoft seems to want to concentrate on a warmer and more compelling interaction, which could also lead to the opportunity to create fully personalized avatar over time. Under the data collected by TestingCatalog, there are in fact also some internal references to a possible “3D” generation, with hints to animated signs in real time fed by generative technologies.
The novelty recalls the “Copilot characters” project to Mind, another Microsoft experiment that included characters AI with defined personalities, but designed for a more informal and playful context. Now we wonder if the two concepts will be united: on the one hand more playful characters, on the other hand Refined and professional avatars that must be used in work areas or for formal vocal sessions.
