Indian Veer Ahlawat won with a 270 (65 65 73 67, -14), after a run at the top, beating compatriot Rohan Dhole Patil by three shots. Patil came second with a 273 (-11), having managed to catch up in the third round, but then lost with a 70 (-1, four birdies, three bogeys) to the winner’s 67 (-4), which was quite inconsistent but effective (one eagle, seven birdies, three bogeys, one double bogey).

Ortolani was joined by home player Manu Gandas, and the two were followed by two other Indians, Dhruv Sheoran, fifth with a 277 (-7), and Anshul Kabthiyal, sixth with a 278 (-6), tied with Subash Tamang of Nepal. In eighth place with a 279 (-5) was the Czech Stephan Danek. Federico Zucchetti retired after one lap.

Michele Ortolani, a 29-year-old from Milan, was in second place in the first two rounds, then dropped to fourth and eventually climbed to third with a 69 (-2, three birdies, one bogey). He played this year on the Asian Development Tour, the second-ranked Asian circuit, where he finished in the top ten three times and finished 21st in the standings.

Veer Ahlawat, 29, claimed his sixth title on his home circuit after playing the 2025 season on the DP World Tour, where he made 20 appearances, with a best finish of 13th at the Austrian Open. He had the “card” after topping the 2024 PGTI rankings. When he lost that, he failed the European Tour qualifying school.

The rules of golf are relatively complicated compared to other sports because they are played outdoors, close to nature and animals. Respecting the rules is a fundamental element in the game of golf, which, almost always based on self-control and the free conscience of the players, often produces distorted results, sometimes consciously, but often unconsciously or through carelessness, due to the inability of many players to adhere to the rules of the game. In addition to the rules, golf adheres to a code of conduct, called etiquette, which generally means that the game is played with respect for the golf course and other players. Etiquette is an essential part of this sport.
