Amid Bitcoin’s roughly 3.1% decline this month, Strategy co-founder and executive chairman Michael Saylor predicts Bitcoin (BTC) will reach $150,000 by the end of 2025.

Saylor sees $150,000 BTC coming in

“I think this 12 months has probably been the best 12 months in the history of the industry,” Saylor said said while I was chatting recently CNBC at the Money 20/20 fintech conference in Las Vegas.

His bullish reasoning focuses on four key drivers: the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) adopting tokenized securities, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent supporting stablecoins to maintain the dollar’s hegemony, favorable regulations in America, and declining volatility.

“The volatility is coming out as the industry becomes more structured with more derivatives and ways to hedge them. Our expectation right now is that this should be around $150,000 by the end of the year, and that is the consensus of the equity analysts that follow our company and the Bitcoin industry,” Saylor opined.

His prediction comes amid lackluster crypto asset prices following a sudden market crash sparked by US President Donald Trump reigniting a tariff war with China. Tensions between the two countries appear to have cooled in recent weeks, as representatives of both sides are willing to negotiate an agreement.

In the long term, Saylor is thinking even bigger.

“I don’t know why this won’t make up to a million dollars per coin in the next four to eight years,” he continued. “And of course, my long-term prediction is that it will rise about 30% per year for the next 20 years, and we’ll be on our way to $20 million in Bitcoin.”

On Wednesday, the US Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 0.25%, a widely expected move that left crypto markets largely unfazed. Bitcoin’s price remains well below the all-time high it registered earlier this month. The top cryptocurrency changed hands for around $111,367 at the time of writing.

Saylor’s 2025 outlook is more conservative than that of some other prominent Bitcoiners. BitMine Chairman Tom Lee and former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes said they remain confident that BTC can break between $200,000 and $250,000 by the end of the year, a prediction they have stuck with for most of this year.
