Mets is considering calling Flamethrower Dylan Ross for Bullpen Help

Chicago – The Mets are considering a power arm for this weekend to reinforce the bullpen.

Dylan Ross, who recently dominated for Triple-A Syracuse, is an opportunity to join the Mets as soon as Saturday in Miami, according to sources from the industry.

Ross has been working in Florida since the end of the Syracuse season this week.

Ross, 25, threw three levels for the Mets this season and placed a 2.17 ERA over 49 performances.

In his 28 performances for Syracuse, he had a 1.69 ERA with 39 strikeouts in 32 innings.

Team officials regard Ross as a potentially better version of Ryne Stanek.

If Ross is called up, it is likely that he would be eligible for situations in the middle of the leverage, with the seventh-inning duty as a possibility.

Ross could also be in the game for the NL Wild-Card selection if the Mets conquer a place.

The METS selected Ross in the 13th round of 2022 from the University of Georgia.

Reed Garrett’s Shutdown Due to elbow inflammation that the surgery of Tommy John can precipitate, has left an opening in the back of the Bullpen of the Mets, which is also weakened by the disappointing work of Ryan Helsley since his arrival in the trade deadline.

Francisco Alvarez, who homely in the previous two games, was on the couch for Thursday’s 8-5 victory at the Cubs when manager Carlos Mendoza followed a cautious approach with the catcher.

Mendoza indicated that he was planning to release Alvarez this week and decided on Thursday after Alvarez started to cramp behind the record one night earlier.

“The last few days, some long games behind the record, and then he started cramping [in his legs]”Said Mendoza.

Alvarez, who plays with a ligament in his right thumb that needs an operation after the season – he also broke his left pink during a Minor League rehabilitation commission this month – started the day with a .861 Ops in September, including four gayers.

Luis Torrens started at Catcher, with Alvarez available for the bank.

Kodai Senga threw a bull pen session in Port St. Lucie two days after a “just ok” live batting practice session.

The Mets will see what develops during the weekend, according to Mendoza, before he decides on the next step of Senga.

The wrestling right-handed started twice before Triple-A Syracuse after agreeing a minor League assignment on 5 September to work on his mechanics.
