Mercedes-AMG is on the eve of a new racing era.
The Mercedes-AMG GT is one of the ultimate expressions of AMG performance. It was first introduced to the range over a decade ago as a special AMG model, designed purely to represent the grand touring pinnacle of what AMG could create. Since then, the second generation has evolved the model even further, with a range of available powertrains, rear seats and electrification taking the performance potential to new heights.
Now, Mercedes reveals that the CONCEPT AMG GT TRACK SPORT, perfected over the summer, is now in the middle of an intensive testing phase, being camouflaged and taking to the track to ensure its potential for motorsport excellence. The concept promises optimized weight distribution, a V8 powertrain and advanced aerodynamics.
Already proud of the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series, the Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series and customer racing versions of the AMG GT from the past, the upcoming new CONCEPT AMG GT TRACK SPORT has big shoes to fill when it comes to track performance and racing legacy. However, AMG’s legendary technical capabilities and legendary legacy of performance excellence mean that fans are looking forward to a racing-focused version of the AMG GT that is nothing short of a motorsport sensation.
