MemeCore (M) Explodes 11% Daily, Bitcoin (BTC) Eyes $90,000: Market Watch

CC is also one of the top performers again.

Most larger-cap altcoins are also quite sluggish, with ETH below $3,000 and XRP below the $1.90 resistance.

BTC ends 2025 in the red?

The primary cryptocurrency has been trading sideways for most of December. The upper limit was at $94,500 earlier this month, while the last was around $84,500. Both were tested a few times until December 19, but the range has narrowed since then.

In recent weeks, Bitcoin has failed to overcome the USD 90,000 resistance, but the USD 86,500 support has provided enough strength. The last failed breakout attempt occurred earlier this week when BTC pumped to $90,400 but was almost immediately rejected and pushed south to $under $87,000.

It has recovered some ground since then, but was halted again yesterday at $89,400. As of now, it is trading below $89,000 after little to no volatility on a daily scale. If a miracle doesn’t happen in the next few hours, BTC is poised to end 2025 in the red, which hasn’t happened in a year since the halving.

For now, the market cap is up slightly to $1.770 trillion, while CG alt dominance is high at 57.5%.

M, CC pump

Ethereum continues to battle against the $3,000 resistance, which has halted its progress several times in the past month. Ripple’s XRP has fallen below $1.90, turning crucial support into resistance. BNB is slightly in the green on a daily basis, while DOGE, ADA, ZEC and XLM are in the red.

CC, on the other hand, continues its recent high-flying performance. After another daily gain of 8.5%, Canton has risen to $0.146. MemeCore is the biggest gainer today, up more than 11% to $1.58.

The total crypto market cap has added approximately $20 billion daily and has risen to $3.080 trillion on CG.
