A mega investment project for manufacturing electric vehicles is coming up in the Ghiloth industrial area of Neemrana tehsil along the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway in Rajasthan. The factory, which will be located on 65.56 hectares of land, will play a crucial role in providing affordable e-buses across the country and promoting the sustainable energy sector.
PMI Electro Mobility Solutions will invest ₹1,200 crore to build the state-of-the-art facility under a memorandum of understanding signed at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in Jaipur in December 2024. Besides assembly of electric buses, the factory will manufacture bus bodies, electric motors, batteries, wiring harnesses and other core components produce.
The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has allotted the land in Ghiloth for the bus manufacturing facility. A delegation of the private company met Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma here on Tuesday to apprise him of the plans for the proposed annual production capacity of 33,000 units.
Mr Sharma said the project would help the state become a leading hub for electric vehicle manufacturing in the country. “This initiative will create numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities for the youth, who will also receive training in the emerging field of electromobility,” he said.
The new facility is expected to pave the way for green industrialization and sustainable mobility in Rajasthan. The factory will support the local economy, reduce environmental pollution and strengthen sustainable urban development in the state.
The delegation included Managing Director of PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Satish Kumar Jain, Chief Executive Officer Anchal Jain, Executive Director Gajendra Yadav and plant head Harish Yadav.
