Meet Debra Danner: a passionate golfer and dedicated volunteer at the Morton Golf Foundation – Haggin Oaks

Debra Danner has been a volunteer for the Morton Golf Foundation since 2017.

In 2013, Debra retired from the California Senate as an Executive Assistant, where she served for the past 26 years.

When Debra decided to retire, she knew more golf and volunteer work would be at the top of her list.

Debra has been playing golf for many years. She became interested in the game with friends who had the same passion and played golf every weekend.

Debra is blessed to have four generations living in her household today. When she’s not on the course, she hugs her grandchildren and talks about her rounds of golf throughout the week. She will be a great teacher and mentor to her family if they decide to play the game.

Morton Golf Foundation is so privileged to have Debra Danner as one of their key volunteers. When asked to volunteer, she is the first to sign up and is always willing to give back.

Debra’s favorite volunteer role of the year is when the Special Olympics host their annual “Golf Regionals” at Haggin Oaks. Special Olympics allows more than two hundred athletes with special needs to participate in golf skills, and Debra is one of many volunteers who have the opportunity to mentor them one-on-one.

Debra can always be seen with a smile on her face and with time available to help grow Morton Golf Foundation.

Thank you, Debra, for all you continue to do to make a difference.
