Dr. Federico Ardila

Dr. Ardila is a mathematics professor at San Francisco State University. In addition to investigating Combinatorics, Ardila is a DJ and argues for admission to mathematics.

Dr. Alberto Calderón

Dr. Calderón was a mathematician who developed an influential mathematical theory together: Calderón-Zygmund theory of single integral operators. He was generally recognized for his contributions, including achieving the National Medal of Science, the Steele Prize, the Bôcher Prize, the Wolf Prize and the Premio de Consagración Nacional.

Dr. Carina Short

Dr. CURTO is a professor of applied mathematics and brain sciences at Brown University. She earned her Ph.D. Van Duke University in 2005, before switching to research into theoretical and computational neuroscience.

Maricela Cruz is an assistant biostatistics researcher with a doctorate in statistics from the Irvine of the University of California. Her research focuses on the development of new statistical methods to assess and evaluate the impact of complex health interventions.

Dr. Pamela Harris

Dr. Harris is a Mexican-American mathematician and professor at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She was also co-founder of Lathisms.org, a platform with the contributions of Latin and Spanish mathematicians and Cohosts the podcast mathematically uncensored.

Dr. Andrés Vindas Meléndez

Dr. Vindas Meléndez is an university teacher at Harvey Mudd College. He was previously a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellow and teacher at the University of California, Berkeley. They completed their doctorate at the University of Kentucky, where they also obtained a graduated certificate in Latin -American, Caribbean and Latinx studies.

Dr. Omayra Ortega

Dr. Ortega is assistant professor of mathematics and statistics at Sonoma State University. She combines mathematics, statistics and public health instruments to tackle emerging health problems in a field called mathematical epidemiology. Moreover, she is committed to broadening the participation of under -represented minorities in the voice and to guide students through the challenges of the academic world.

Dr. Cristina Runnalls

Dr. Runnalls is an university teacher in the Mathematics and Statistics department at Cal Poly Pomona. She earned her Ph.D. In teaching and learning, aimed at mathematics education, in 2018 from the University of Iowa. She is also “a proud chicana, daughter of immigrants, student of the first generation and first mother who loves traveling, cooking, baking, garden, crossfit, going to the beach and many other things”

Dr. Imelda Flores Vazquez

Dr. Vazquez is a data scientist and more econometric. Her research has informed decisions about government policy, in particular related to health.

Dr. Geremías Polanco Encarnación

Dr. Polanco is an assistant professor at Smith College. He has obtained a master’s degree in actuarial science and a doctorate in mathematics.
