Leicester plays Fiorentina friendly in their last pre-season on Sunday 3 August. This team finished 6th in the Serie A last season. The name Ranieri comes to me when it talks about it. Luka is their current captain. Former Leicester manager Claudio was previously in charge of the club.
This will be a huge test for Leicester towards a team with players of excellent quality. Hopefully we will see a structure of Marti Cifuentes. His starting eleven gives us certain instructions regarding the team in the opening match vs. Sheffield Wednesday.
Fiorentina manager Stefano Pioli will probably set a team with a number of familiar faces. You will of course recognize them. David de Gea their keeper that we all know from his time at Man Utd. Eden Dzeko (39) is a player who previously played for Man City. Dzeko is a new arrival of Fenerbahce. Robin Gosens from Union Berlin. Their are also other arrivals in Albert Gudmundson from Genoa and Jaccopo Faccini from Empoli. The latter is Nicola Fabioli from Juventus.
They open their Serie A campaign on August 28. To date, they have played two pre-season matches against Lower Italian competition and won 2-0 and 3-0. In addition to the friendly vs. Leicester On Saturday they are planned three days later against Forest. Finish their pre-season with a fixture versus man utd on August 9.
It will be exciting to see what Leicester will look like for this special event. Hopefully we get an idea of what the strongest eleven of Marti Cifuentes will be. Of course there are constant discussions about different players who may be sold. We believe that the team is strong enough to bounce back immediately. The best possible solution is to love the best players as much as possible.

Post Match Report
Leicester and Fiorentina played an entertaining 3-3 draw, with Dean Sturridge city striker took a hat trick. Portuguese striker Nuno Gomes, the subject of much transfer speculation, gave the visitors the lead in the 34th minute when Ian Walker Ezequiquel Gonzalez’s shot directly in the path of the predatory striker Palde. Yet the foxes were back on level terms within a minute when Sturridge led his volley in the net professionally. The second half started in a sizzling way when Sturridge made the score on the hosts after an Alex Manninger error, only to see that Enrico Chiesa brought the peace 2-2. Fiorentina seemed to determine for the victory when Chiesa curled into a wonderful shot, only for Sturridge to puncture his hat trick in injury time to leave the material level.
