Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Launch Date and Expected Price

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is expected to go on sale in India on Tuesday, December 2. According to a report in Car Dekho, Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete against the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and the MG Windsor EV. It supports both AC and DC fast charging.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Battery, range and powertrain

Maruti Suzuki’s much-awaited electric SUV will finally make its official entry into the Indian market tomorrow. The vehicle has been in active production for quite some time. The e Vitara will likely be offered with two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The larger battery pack should provide up to 500 km of range.

Power is expected to be between 142 and 172 hp, with torque estimated at around 192.5 Nm, giving the EV SUV lively yet practical performance for everyday use. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Design and Features

The design of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara stands out with three-dot matrix LED DRLs integrated into the headlamps, muscular bumpers with piano black accents and black 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. A sculpted 3D body profile and matching three-point matrix taillights complete the exterior, closely matching the styling of the ICE Vitara.

Inside, the e-Vitara offers ventilated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat and sliding, reclining rear seats, along with seven airbags and other premium touches. Safety and tech features include Level-2 ADAS with autonomous features, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, keyless entry, ride-by-wire controls and ambient lighting.

The e-Vitara will have a dual-screen layout, consisting of a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.1-inch digital driver display. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, combined with an Infinity sound system for an enhanced audio experience. Other highlights include a panoramic glass roof, 10-way power driver’s seat, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, power-adjustable and folding ORVMs and a PM2.5 cabin air filter.
