Maruti Suzuki has had one of the strongest versions of the company this festive season in the past decade, with bookings that reach 2.5 Lakh and grow exports by 50 percent. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki, said that the question was unprecedented this year.

“During this Navratri period, the company delivered impressive 1.65,000 vehicles in the first eight days and expects to achieve a record of 2.00,000 deliveries from Dussehra, exceeding those earlier records of the past ten years. The company has received an excellent reaction, with current bookings at 2.5 LAKH,” he said.

According to Banerjee, the deliveries of Navratri last year amounted to a total of about 1 Lakh vehicles, indicating that the sale has almost doubled this year. He added that the growth is linked to the GST reform introduced by the government. “Export has also seen a growth of 50 percent, with 42,000 exported vehicles. The company’s production team works on Sundays and holidays to meet the high demand, and they anticipate a very good October with 2.5 Lakh pending bookings. The focus remains on the delivery of vehicles to customers to customers,” he said.

He explained that after the GST council had announced a rate reduction in August, many buyers who had previously withheld purchases started to book cars. This contributed to the big question in October.

Earlier in September, Banerjee emphasized how the company and its partners worked around the clock to serve customers during the festive rush. “Our dealer partners work in showrooms day and night to deliver cars to customers. Our financial partners are busy punishing loans as quickly as possible and give delivery assignments so that we can deliver cars to customers. The reason behind this haste is GST 2.0 reforms. This has created positivity everywhere,” he said Ani.

“Bookings, which used to be around 10,000, are now at the level of 18,000 a day. We also see a very good traction in terms of bookings in small cars. An interesting part is that the response is even better. The bookings are almost doubled 100 percent growth,” he said.

Banerjee also noticed the strength in smaller car sales. “We witness 100 percent revenue growth in small cars. In metropolitan cities we witness the growth of around 35-40 percent,” he added.
