Martin Blackman hired as the next CEO of Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, Maryland – World Tennis Magazine

The Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) of College Park, Maryland has announced that Martin Blackman will be the next Chief Executive Officer, from October 1, 2025.

Blackman offers more than 20 years of experience in powerful tennis development, including a decade as general manager of USTA Player Development. During his term of office, he helped to stimulate a revival of American tennis to produce top 10, 20 and 50-ranking than some era since the mid-1990s.

Blackman previously served as director of JTCC of 2004-2008, where he helped to convert JTCC into the first USTA Regional Training Center of the Nation.

“This organization has always represented the best of what tennis can be – excellence for the field, equity and a dedication to develop the whole person,” Blackman said.

“Congratulations Martin Blackman, crazy achievement to be back at JTCC. Supper happy for you and yours and excited to see what you can achieve,” said World No. 13 and JTCC Alum Frances Tiafoe.

Blackman succeeds Ray Benton, who led JTCC for 17 years and built the organization in a nationally recognized HUB for players development and education

As CEO, Blackman will focus on strengthening our powerful programming, deepening community partnerships and elevating player and coach development.
