Tickets for what could be a historic Mark Bates Ltd National Championships are now on sale.

England’s No. 1 Tin-Tin Ho will aim to win an eighth women’s singles title and fully own the record after topping the all-time list last year alongside Jill Parker MBE.

The Mark Bates Ltd National Championships take place from March 20 to 22 at the University of Nottingham.

The opening day on Friday – when the qualifying tournament takes place – is free for all spectators, all day.

Weekend tickets are affordable: from £5 for Saturday and from £7.50 for final day on Sunday.

It promises to be three days of scintillating action and tickets are sure to sell quickly, especially for Final Day, so don’t wait too long – secure your ticket as soon as possible!

What is the event format?

The Mark Bates Ltd National Championships will be an even bigger and better occasion for players and spectators in 2026, with a revamped format bringing together qualifying and the main event under one roof.

For the first time in recent years, the opening day of the Nationals will feature the men’s and women’s singles qualifying rounds.

The participants will compete against each other to be one of 24 players of each gender to advance to the main draw on Saturday, where eight players invited based on rankings will await in the Round of 32.

Doubles remains a central part of the flagship competition, with the first rounds on Friday adding to the spectacle and continuing through to Saturday.

Sunday is the final day, when the venue is transformed into the ‘Show Court’ setup, where the titles are decided during a day full of exciting matches.

What else is going on at Nationals?

In addition to the packed competition schedule, there are a number of attractions in the FanZone:

  • Table tennis robot, including the interactive games used successfully during the Star Contender event
  • Therapy tables, consisting of a white Butterfly table with side panels and a round T3 Foundation table

  • Charity and healthcare representation, with Parkinson’s UK, Parkinson’s Table Tennis and Alzheimer’s Society attending to discuss and promote the health and wellbeing benefits of table tennis
