Manchester United is making a new approach for Villa goalkeeper

Manchester United has made a new approach to sign Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Ruben Amorim wants to bring in a new keeper before the transfer deadline of Monday, in the midst of concern about the versions of Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana. Both keepers have made mistakes that lead to goals in the opening weeks of the new season.

United continues to talk to sign Royal Antwerp Shot-Stop stop-stop Senne Lammens, for a fee in the region of € 20 million. However, the Red Devils are supposed to make disaster plans if that deal does not come out.

Fabrizio Romano reports a new approach for Martinez, after conversations with Aston Villa earlier this summer. The two teams discussed a potential deal for the 33-year-old, which was expected to leave Villa Park in the current window.

Villas improved Premier League -win and sustainability (PSR) position and the asking price did not see conversations as expected, but the discussion was reopened prior to the transfer deadline of tomorrow.

United’s own financial position has improved after the sale of Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea this week.
