Baleba was valued at £100m by Brighton this summer and although the Red Devils were interested, they were unable to sign him as they had spent a lot of money rebuilding their offense. According to the source, the player’s price has since dropped.

Carlos Baleba has done exceptionally well at Brighton & Hove Albion and, like several Seagulls players who eventually join bigger sides in the Premier League, there is every reason to think he would find success at Manchester United.
The Red Devils are in desperate need of a box-to-box midfielder and a player of the 22-year-old’s caliber could bring much-needed energy, ability to drive the ball forward and a strong defensive work-rate to the table at Old Trafford.
His age is a huge plus for Man United as the club can tie him down to a long-term contract. The Cameroonian international will have other suitors in the summer, but it appears the Mancunians believe their chances of signing him are better.
