Leicester City appear to be a team in transition, with uncertainty off the pitch seemingly translating into inconsistency.
Following their midweek defeat to Hull City, LCFC were beaten 1-0 by high-flying Millwall this weekend. This has resulted in the Foxes going three games without a win and sitting in tenth place in the Championship after twelve matches.
Marti Cifuentes has done that so far struggled to rediscover the spark that defined Leicester’s form at the start of the season. The attacking players have failed to spark the championship as expected, leaving the team looking like a shadow of the dominant side that cruised to the title under Enzo Maresca.
One man who has attracted a lot of attention in the opening weeks of the season is Jeremy Monga. Clubs from all over Europe have their eyes on Monga, and according to TBRFootballPremier League Manchester City led the race.
City came close to signing Monga last summer, before he opted to sign a scholarship with Leicester City instead. Since then, the 16-year-old winger has broken into the side, recording a goal and an assist as a regular starter.
Their interest has not disappeared, and because Monga is not yet 17, he is not yet eligible for a professional contract. This means LCFC would be powerless to prevent another club from swooping in to secure his signature.
Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester Unitedand Newcastle United are all also keen on the 16-year-old. Real Madrid and Barcelona have both already expressed interest in Monga this year.
Leicester City is currently the best place for Jeremy Monga
If Monga makes the move to one of Europe’s elite clubs, he will likely slow down his development. The 16-year-old is getting far more first-team action at LCFC than any club would like.
If he were to move to someone like Manchester City now, he would be playing in the youth team again. Now that he is a regular in the championship, he does not need to take a step back in his career.
He has other qualities around him to help his development at the Foxes. If he plays another year at LCFC, he could be a quality first-team addition for a top club and earn Leicester City a sizeable fee.

Monga must prove his worth on the field after a dry spell
Monga, along with the rest of Leicester City’s attackers, must now go one step further. The Foxes have struggled to produce on the pitch, leading to just one win in eight games.
Jordan James made a few contributions, but only Abdul Fatawu had five or more goals and assists. Jordan Ayew has been in charge for most of the year.
Julien Carranza joined in the summerbut he too has failed to get off to a flying start. This could be a huge opportunity for Monga to grab LCFC by the scruff of the neck and help them towards promotion.
