A 40-year-old man whose arm was broken with a samurai sword during an alleged confrontation with his son in the Goldfields of Western Australia has not provided the police for a formal statement

Jaxon Jai Trinidad, 19, would have used the sword to break the arm of James Nybo in Kalgoorlie, 600 kilometers east of Perth, in February.

The 19-year-old is accused of heavy, physical injury and three weapons-related charges.

He did not enter any supplications on Monday during his appearance in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court.

Adviser Max Crispe told the court that he understood that Mr Nybo did not want to make an explanation.

The court had previously heard that Mr Nybo reportedly sent threatening and insulting SMS messages and was armed with a baseball bat when his arm was broken.

The court was told that he was flown to the Royal Perth Hospital after the sword had cut through his biceps and had completely broken his right arm.

In February, the police of the police senior agent Matthew Fullgrabe first described the accusations in court.

He said that the Lord Trinidad loosened the sword and “held up to scare”, his father, whom he told “F *** off”.

The court heard that Mr Nybo is said to have used the baseball bat to break the window of a car while the confrontation went the street on the front of the house.

At this point, Mr Fullgrabe told the court, Mr Nybo “raised the bat above his head to strike” when the sword broke his arm.

The court heard the sword cut through the right biceps area and the arm “fell on the road”.

“The accused panic and ran inside, causing the victim to bleed abundantly on the road,” said Mr. Fullgrabe.

Mr. Trinidad changed himself the next day to the police station of Kalgoorlie.

During his last hearing, his lawyer Max Crispe said that his client had tried to be the voice of reason on the day of the incident.

He claimed that his client acted in self -defense after encouraging his father to be “rational”.
