A man has been accused of raping his three-year-old daughter and using her prison visits to sexually abuse her. In a gruesome case from the city of Palma on the Spanish island of Mallorca, the defendant faces an 18-year prison sentence for multiple alleged charges of sexual abuse and assault dating back to 2018.
His complaint alleges that the man, who allegedly has a history of domestic violence and sexual abuse, used his daughter’s prison visits as an opportunity to grope her.
Another allegation claims that he raped her at his residence in Palma before going to jail. The first department of the Provincial Court of Palma was due to hold the trial this week.
In addition to the prison sentence of almost twenty years, the man is facing a request from the First Department of the Provincial Court of Palma for an amount of € 30,000 in what was called ‘moral damages’.
In response to questions from the prosecutor and the private plaintiff’s attorney, the person said, “This accusation is very strange. I swear on my life I have never been near her.”
The man also claimed in additional comments in court that it was revenge on the part of the girl’s family, saying, “They never loved me or accepted me.”
He added: “I think it’s because they’re from Mallorca and I’m not. They never liked or accepted me.” The man defended himself and claimed he was a “normal father” who “loves his children.”
Further details emerged under questioning, with the person insisting he never slept alone with his daughter, but at her mother’s house in Cala Rajada.
He noted that this was part of the visitation schedule and also shared that he discovered he had been reported after arriving at the location where they met.
In an attempt to find out more, he reportedly traveled to both local and national police stations in several cities, but only discovered the details when he was eventually arrested in Extremadura eight months later.
In even more disturbing details, the girl’s mother, who was also present at the trial, noted that the girl had begun exhibiting what OkBaleares described as “hypersexual behavior.”
She said, “She learned it from her father, at the meeting place I think.”
Meanwhile, the girl’s grandmother also claimed that the girl told her, “It’s a secret I have with daddy, but we can’t tell anyone. Daddy puts his penis in my vagina.”
The newspaper also highlighted that the prosecutor had sought an 18-year prison sentence for the man over several cases of abuse and sexual assault allegedly committed in 2018.
