Thiaw was not involved for Milan today, because she lost 4-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, instead back to Italy to pack his bags prior to a Sunday evening flight to Tyneside.
Speaking earlier today against Sky Italy, Milan -Baas Max Allegri discussed his exit and gave his disappointment about seeing the 6ft 4 ″ defender:
“Thiaw? It is a pity that he has been omitted. It’s a shame he is leaving,” said Allegri after failing to keep him in the Siro despite his efforts.
“The club is working on finding a replacement, that is the transfer market that you must accept and continue to work.
“In the team I have excellent players who have made themselves available for each other.”
