It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for the weekly update of fuel prices by the Ministry of Finance for the coming week of January 8 to 14, 2026.
The price of RON 95 non-subsidized petrol stands at RM2.54 per litre, down two sen from last week’s price of RM2.56 per litre, while RON 97 petrol drops by five sen per liter to RM3.11 per liter from RM3.16 per liter last week.
As before, the subsidized RON 95 petrol under the Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) program remains unchanged at RM1.99 per litre. Malaysians with a valid driver’s license are eligible for the fuel with a monthly quota of 300 litres.
For diesel, the Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends are priced at RM2.89 per liter this week, five sen less than last week, while the Euro 5 B7 blends – which are 20 sen more per liter – are therefore priced at RM3.09 per litre. The retail price of diesel fuel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
These prices are valid from midnight tonight until Wednesday, January 14, 2026, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the second edition of the weekly fuel price format for 2026, and the 365th in total since the format’s introduction in early 2019.
