Rookie Heena Kang did well to keep her courage about the last holes to win her first professional title through a shot on prestige golfshire near Bangalore on Friday.
Heena, who was four shots ahead with eight holes that were left, held a clean leaf after a blip on 11 to stand up on the 11h leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour, the Wgai said.
The Panchkula golfer, fifth on her pro debut last month, was completely chased by partner, amateur Lavanya Gupta.
Lavanya, who started the last day two shots behind Heena, fell five behind and passed 4 at turn.
Then she submitted a large load and recorded three shots to close the leader
A fourth Birdie could have forced a play-off, but Lavanya ended Par-Par like Weaa, who ended with a one-shot pillow.
Weena and Lavanya started the day with a bogey and the last one had a second bogey on the fourth. One hole later bogey also bogey and that meant that she was two more for Lavanya.
Great gap
A fallen shot for Lavanya at Acht and Birdie in front of Heena on nine put the last four first.
Things changed nine on the back when Lavanya moaned back, but Venea held and made no mistakes after a bogey at 11, where Lavanya also brought away a shot.
In recent years, Weena has worn India colors at large events such as the Queen Sirikit Cup, the Asia-Pacific of the Ladies and the World Amateurs.
Ananya Garg, who stood at the beginning at the beginning of Heena, was three-over in the first five holes, but fought back with four birdies on either side of the turn to act the best card of the day of 1 under 71 for the only third place.
Early struggles
Jasmine Shekar, who played in the leadership group, struggled on the front nine with a six-over piece with four bogeys and one double.
She had two Birdies and a bogey on the rear nine and carded 77 to finish fourth.
Neha Tripathi (73), Amateur Riya Jadon (74) and Ananya Datar (75) were bound at the fifth at 223, while Amateur Mannat Brar and Agrima Manral shared the eighth place at 224.
Ridhima Dilawari (74) cried the top 10.
Vani Kapoor continues to lead the heroic order of merit with Ridhima in second place. Jasmine, Neha and Amandeep occupy the third to the fifth places.
