“To be honest with you, I went a lot when I fought for the title,” said Ankalaev through a Russian translator and spoke with the media during an open training in Las Vegas. āThat training camp was terrible, I could not struggle for most of the training camp, I fought many injuries and there were many reasons.
āI also told my coach immediately during the rounds that I had the feeling that he was greased. He was just too slippery. These things happen in the professional sport, I don’t accuse him of anything, but that is exactly what I feel. I spar every day, I train every day, you can feel when people are slippery. It is too much slippery.
