However, no fans are allowed in the stadium.

The Maiden IPL title of RCB attracted a huge crowd fans who rose to the stadium to participate in the parties. The enormous size of the crowd and mismanagement at the gates led to a fatal rush with eleven lives lost, and more than 50 were injured. A study submitted by the government was later considered the ChinnasWamy stadium as unsafe for large-scale events, which quoted structural and crowd control shortcomings.

In the aftermath, the KSCA was confronted with a recoil, while RCB initially silent before he finally promised financial support.
