Myers Creek Cascades in Healesville has quietly become one of Victoria’s best rated rainforest retreats and it is now for sale walk-in.

A couple in Melbourne who has bought a forest discharge in Healesville has built one of the most successful short-stay retreats of the Yarra Valley almost a decade, without advertisements, no social media and hardly a weekend reserve.

Now they put the entire 6.45ha no-end good at 269 Myers Creek RD on the market with a price guide of $ 2.35 million- $ 2.55 million.

Bruce and Mandy Pollard bought the building for $ 1.6 million in 2015 and run it as Myers Creek Cascades Luxury Cottages, a retreat for only boutique pairs that has become a cult favorite with guests.

“We have had 100 percent weekend occupation for years,” said Pollard.

“Only one Saturday evening in 10 years has not been fully booked.”

Each of the three houses designed by the architects has a king-size bed, spa-bath with a view of the rainforest, a double rain shower, wood fire and private deck.

A fourth guest lodge comprises a lounge, billiard table, fire pit and kitchenette.

“It’s consistent and reliable,” said Mrs. Pollard.

“We have built it around peace, privacy and connection.
“It’s not just a stay, it’s a retreat.”

A standard stay of two nights starts from $ 890 and includes a breakfast basket.

Guests can also book extras such as massages, ballooning in hot air, wine and cheese dishes or champagne, all via a self-managed online system.

The most important residence with three bedrooms fits seamlessly into the rainforest-om rings and offers a total view of privacy and serene treetop.

Every spa-cottage designed by the architect is hidden in the trees, specially built for couples looking for seclusion and luxury.

The Pollards say they have never paid for advertising or used social media to promote the company, rely on loyal guests, strong reviews and mouth -to -mouth advertising.

“We had guests return every year, some of them for seven, eight years in a row,” said Bruce.

The couple lives on the site in a main residence with three bedrooms with wooden floors, a Bosch-kitchen, several residential zones and rainforest-view decks.

Mr. Pollard said that the water from the building comes from a spring-fed creek that starts in the State Forest of Toolangi.

The spacious lounge has wooden floors, a wood fire and large windows that frame the forest – the heart of the owner’s private and retreat.

A kitchen appointed by Bosch with stone bank sheets anchors the house, designed for entertainment or relaxed daily cooking.

“You don’t hear a car here,” he said.

“They are just birds and trees.”

Mrs. Pollard said that Wombats, Wallabies, Echidnas and three resident Lyrebirds are regularly visitors.

This also applies to the same couples that have escaped the city, often for ten years or more.

“It really reset your perspective on what is important,” she said.

They are now moving to the north to be closer to family and for more sunshine, travel and golf.

In one of the guest houses: open interiors with luxury finishes, a Spa-Bad and floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the bush.

A new billiard table plays in the Gastetratraite Lodge, a favorite meeting place for couples traveling together or hosting a stay of group groups.

Jellis Craig Mooroolbark & Lilydale’s Lindsay Ryan said that the building offered a rare two-in-one lifestyle and business model.

“You have a fully equipped family home and a profitable boutique accommodation company in one title,” said Mr. Ryan.

“That kind of combination is incredibly rare in the Yarra valley.”

Mr. Ryan said that the most interest until now came from semi-retired couples or buyers who chase a flexible income flow for tree change.

“It is the kind of place that people dream about when they say they want to escape from the city,” he said.
