Luke Rockhold downplays Kevin Holland’s injury – MMASucka

Luke Rockhold has targeted fan favorite Kevin Holland following his recent loss. On the Jaxxon Podcast, the former middleweight champion was asked about Holland’s recent loss to Mike Malott, where he landed multiple low blows and was clearly affected. He subsequently lost the fight via unanimous decision. The loss spread Big mouth‘s losing streak to two straight; However, props must be given considering it was his fifth fight of 2025.

Rockhold isn’t sure if Holland was completely honest about the impact it had on him. He commented and said:
It wasn’t really in the balls. I just watched that fight, I literally just watched it, and that was on the edge of me barely touching you. If you wear a cup, it won’t hurt. It doesn’t hurt that much. It’s all love for Kevin, but there’s a lot involved and it wasn’t exactly necessary.”

Luke Rockhold questions the Netherlands’ motives

Luke Rockhold then wondered what Holland’s motive was if the offense was indeed not as bad as made out.
“I don’t know, maybe his balls are just really big or something. A little higher up? There’s a lot to it.”
“You just shouldn’t fight or fight. Really, that’s what it comes down to. He took five minutes and thirty seconds and then went into the fight and the rest of the minute he was still grabbing his balls. Then he went into the next round, it’s like he just kept going.”

The defeat put the Netherlands in a difficult position and dropped to 2-3 in its last five games. He appears to have finally found a home at welterweight, where he has competed at 170 pounds for the past four fights. Before that, he switched between welterweight and middleweight, where he was quite undersized.
