Luke Littler says McIlroy has “no real chance” of winning BBC Sports Personality

Rory McIlroy has dominated this season and has really cemented his place as one of the best golfers in the world. The 36-year-old has had many great moments during the season, and winning the Masters and the Ryder Cup on away soil will certainly be moments he will never forget.

The 36-year-old Northern Irish golfer has been aiming for a Grand Slam career for years and this year seemed fateful for him.

This is also why Rory McIlroy is a candidate to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

Most expect him to win this award, and one of the biggest rivals, at least when it comes to this award, is Lando Norris.

Among the candidates is the phenomenon of young darts Lucas Kleiner, who surprised the audience with his statements and said that Rory McIlroy has no real chance of winning the award. Littler expects Lando Norris to eventually win this prestigious award.

Rory McIlroy is certainly hoping for this prestigious award, but he is aware that he has stiff competition and that much is still uncertain.

In an interview with the media, Rory McIlroy pointed out that he still doesn’t know who will win this award, but if he actually wins it, it will be a huge honor for him and further confirmation that he has achieved incredible success in the golf world in 2025.
