Lucid delivered 3,309 vehicles in the second quarter, a turnover increase with 6% compared to the previous period and a new sales record for the EV -maker.

Bright Also reported It produced 3,863 vehicles in the second quarter, almost 1,000 more than made it in the previous period. Lucid produced 2,212 vehicles in the first quarter and sent another 600 extra vehicles to Saudi Arabia for the last meeting.

The delivery and associated production figures show that Lucid has maintained – and has even made any progress – in a different shaky EV market. However, there is still a considerable gap to fill if the company wants to reach its annual production goal of 20,000 vehicles. In the first six months of the year, Lucid produced 6,075 vehicles-value the company had to fill a gap of nearly 14,000 vehicles.

To achieve that target, Lucid will have to expand the production of his new Allectric Gravity SUV. The company started the production of gravity in December 2024, most of which were sold to ’employees, family and friends’.

The customer mix has started more in recent months with switching the general consumer. However, the production is slower than desired, ”CEO Marc Winterhoff told Automotive News in an interview in June. The CEO, which Peter Rawlinson replaced earlier this year, blamed the tariff pressure and a focus on quality for the slow start.

Winterhoff has quickly mentioned the interest of the customer in gravity, comments that are meant to dispel all the worries that there is a demand problem.

During the profit call of the company Q1 in April, Winterhoff noted that the company encountered a “modest bottleneck for Supply Chain that influenced its timeline.” At the time, he emphasized that “the most important point is that we take the time to get it right, not just to get it out.”

He said the moment that the bottlenecks of the Supply Chain would be resolved in the second quarter and make plans to ensure that the company would meet its production plans for 2025.

Lucid would not comment on the delivery and production results, including the demolition between the air and gravity models. A spokesperson noted that Lucid will share more details in the upcoming winning report, which will be released on 5 August.

It is also unclear whether Lucid’s new business program and sales to rental fleets have contributed to stimulating his Q2 figures.

Lucid sold the equivalent of around 300 cars in the first quarter to what it mentions as ‘rental companies’, a footnote in his Q1 regulation application. At the time, Nick Twork, a spokesperson for Lucid Motors, told Techcrunch that despite the use of the term, the “vast majority” of the vehicles referred in the footnote was sold to leasing companies and returning to the car maker as part of a renewed business program for companies.
