According to a report from The starThe Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) Shah Alam Line could miss its generally expected opening date of 30 September 2025. This is after Prasarana went to Facebook last week to announce that it is currently performing 24-hour train tests and commissioning activities along the part of the Bandar Utama station to the depot in Johan Setia.

Currently, the Facebook message (below) of 25 July does not mention how long these processes last. However, Netizens quickly pointed out that the post was edited, with an earlier version of the post that indicates that these processes will continue until October 31, 2025, a month after the opening date of 30 September.

From the end of July of this year, the 99.21% project appeared to have been completed. Transport Minister Anthony Loke now revealed the costs of the project at RM21.93 billion, which is RM9.72 billion less than the originally approved costs of RM31.65 billion when the project was first introduced in 2015.

When completed, the line will contain 25 stations from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia, with exchanges in the Bandar Utama (Mar Kajang) and Glenmarie (LRT Kelana Jaya) stations.
