Wang Chuqin has retained the top spot, but there has been some shuffling in the rest of the Top 10. Truls Moregard is three places higher than world number 2. Lin Shidong has remained in third place and Hugo Calderano has fallen two places to number 4. Then Harimoto, Felix, Yun-Ju, Matsushima, Peng and Woojin rounded out the Top 10. The other upward moves in the Top 20 went to Anders Lind. who gained two places (to number 15), and Patrick Franziska who rose six places to number 17. A few other notable changes include Korea’s Lim Jonghoon, who rose 38 places (to number 38), and Vladimir Sidorenko who rose 10 places to number 43. American Kanak Jha remained in the World Top 30 (at number 28).

On the women’s side, the top five spots remain unchanged. With Miwa Harimoto of Japan dropping two places (to No. 8), six of the top seven spots are now Chinese, with Yingsha, Manyu and Xingtong filling out the 1-3, Zhu Yuling of Macao at No. 4, and then Chinese players Kuai, Yidi and Chen Yi. Harimoto, Hayata and Ito round out the Top 10. Adriana Diaz is the top player not from Asia or Europe at No. 19, Bruna Takahashi of Brazil is at No. 22, and Americans Amy Wang (No. 40) and Lily Zhang (No. 42) are the third and fourth highest ranked players in this hemisphere.
