Jake Paul isn’t one to show his sensitive side often during his polarizing boxing career. Victories over former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley put Paul’s brash character on full display.
Paul is in Milan, Italy, while his fiancée, Jutta Leerdam, competes in several Olympic speed skating events. Leerdam was considered one of the best skaters in the world and had qualified for the Winter Olympics.
Just days away from Friday’s opening ceremony, Leerdam took part in the 1000 meter speed skating event, with Paul sitting in the second row. Leerdam set an Olympic record by finishing in 1:12.31, almost a full second faster than the previous record holder in the 1000 meters.
The magnitude of the moment left Paul in tears as he watched Leerdam walk to Olympic gold.

“Jutttttttttttaaaaaaaa. I can’t stop crying. You did it, my love. Olympic gold. God is great and so are you,” Paul said in a X post following Leerdam’s win.
It was a triumphant performance for Leerdam after winning multiple world titles and an Olympic silver medal earlier in her career.
As for Paul, he is enjoying some much-needed downtime after a brutal knockout loss to former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua in December. It was Paul’s second boxing defeat and first career stoppage loss.
Before the loss to Joshua, Paul won six straight fights, including recent victories over Bare Knuckle FC star Mike Perry and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. At the time of writing, it is uncertain when Paul will return to the ring in 2026.
Meanwhile, Paul is enjoying stepping out of the spotlight as he supports his fiancée on the world stage.
