The Frisco RoughRiders’ collective energy production fell for the second year in a row, with the team hitting 109 home runs in the 2025 season (down from 117 home runs in 2024 and 118 in 2023). Despite the overall decline, individual players produced some remarkable displays of raw power. A look back at the longest home runs at Riders Field this season:
- Wyatt Langford / 425 feet / 107 mph / July 3
Langford hit this home run during a one-game rehab stint on July 3. This was his second assignment at Frisco, following a previous stint on April 17 and 18. He crushed the ball from Arkansas Travelers left-hander Reid VanScoter. Langford appeared in three total rehab games with the RoughRiders and hit two home runs.
4. Aaron Zavala / 426 feet / 106 mph / July 20
While playing as the Dallas Black Giants, Zavala hit his eighth home run of the season against right-hander Joey Mancini of Corpus Christi Hooks. Zavala finished the 2025 season with 14 home runs at the Double-A level. He hit two home runs in Triple-A, tying his career-high of 16.

This was Zavala’s third homerun of the season and he drove in five runs in the game. He hit the ball off right-hander Anderson Bido, who had given up three home runs to the RoughRiders in 1 1/3 inning. Despite the team’s offensive surge, the RoughRiders lost the match 20-14.
- Abimelec Ortiz / 432 feet / 170 km/h / April
Ortiz hit his first home run of the season against the Amarillo Sod Poodles, a blast off right-hander Dylan Ray.
- Abimelec Ortiz / 447 feet / 109 mph / May 14
Ortiz walked off the Corpus Christi Hooks with a grand slam off right-hander Patrick Halligan. The shot capped a comeback and gave the RoughRiders a 12-9 victory.
The five longest home runs combined traveled a total of 650 meters, with an average distance of 131.6 meters per home run.
