August 6 – The former midfielder of Arsenal, Thomas Partey, has received conditional bail after he appeared in court.
The appearance of Parey was due to rape and mistreatment with regard to alleged violations that took place between 2021 and 2022.
He is accused of five counts of rape against two women, along with another indictment of sexual abuse against a third women, all of whom are not being done in more detail. The Ghana International was in the Dok on Tuesday at the Magistrates Court of Westminster.
The guarantee conditions state that he cannot contact the women involved and that he must inform the police if there are changes in his permanent speech. Moreover, he must tell the authorities whether he is going on international journeys.
With rumors that claim that the midfielder has just signed for the Spanish club, Villarreal, said the main magistrate Paul Goldspring: “I understand that he is no longer working in this country and is now playing in Spain.”
His next performance in court will be in the Oude Bailey on 2 September this year.
The case has caused controversy with Arsenal and their decision to keep him play while the charges were awaiting. He was officially charged for four days after his contract with the club ended.
During their recent tour through Asia, the boss of Gunner, Mikal Arteta said: “The club was very clear in his statement. There are many legal issues that are very complicated, so I cannot comment on that.
When he was asked if he was convinced that the club followed the right processes, Arteta replied: “100%”.
