An “active shooter” was reported to Georgia Fort Stewart on Wednesday and the base was locked just after 11:00 am
Fort Stewart is the home of the 3rd infantry division of the US Army.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported That Lieutenant -Kolonel Angel Tomko The Associated Press said: “We are currently assessing the situation, but we can confirm an active shooter.” Officials confirmed reports about victims, but nothing else was confirmed at the time of this writing.
Update: ABC News reported That one person is in custody after the incident with Fort Stewart and that “several people are injured.”
