The Genesis Championship was added to the DP World Tour schedule in 2024 as a jointly sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and the Korean Tour.
The tournament, which previously took place at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, has found a new home for 2025 after moving to the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in South Korea.
Byeong Hun An won the first edition of the Genesis Championship as a DP World Tour event in 2024 when he tasted victory on home turf in South Korea.
A year earlier, Pablo Larrazabal won the Korea Championship in the 2023 DP World Tour season before that tournament was merged with the Genesis Championship.

The Genesis Championship golf is played over four rounds/72 holes at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in South Korea.
- Day 1 – Thursday October 23
- Day 2 – Friday October 24th
- Day 3 – Saturday October 25
- Day 4 – Sunday October 26
The Genesis Championship tournament has a prize pool of $4,000,000.
