Liverpool reportedly wants to sign Michael Olise from Bayern Munich, as per Offside.
Since he moved from Crystal Palace to the Allianz Arena last summer, the Frenchman has established himself as an integral part of the starting XI of Vincent Kompany.
In 50 performances in all competitions in the previous term, the 23-year-old scored 17 goals and registered 18 assists. Moreover, he has delivered five target contributions in six games in the club World Cup.
Olise has led the Bavarian Club to win the Bundesliga title and German Super Cup. He enjoyed a productive start this season and scored four goals in four performances in all competitions.
Now, Offside claim that Liverpool has reserved Olise as the ‘top’ target to replace Mohamed Salah and make a concrete approach to buy it next year.
The Frenchman has a contract until 2029 in the Allianz Arena and they have hit a price tag of £ 87 million on his head. However, the player has an oral agreement with the club to allow him to leave for a lower fee, because the attacker is open to the Premier League return.
Olise to Liverpool
Bayern Munich recently signed Luis Diaz, who was an integral part of the success of Arne Slot’s Side in the past term, for a big money. Now the English champions are planning to do something similar by buying Olise.
Olise is a right winger of feature, but is also centrally comfortable. He has already proven his value at the highest level, but is still only 23 and has enough room to grow. That is why he would be a smart acquisition for Liverpool as a potential long -term replacement for Salah.
The Merseyside Club renewed the front line by buying Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike this summer. On the other hand, Diaz and Darwin Núñez can leave.
Liverpool enjoyed a clear start this season, although they have sometimes looked shaky and all three have won the Premier League matches. As a result, they are currently at the top of the competition and they are on track to defend their title.
After the international break, they will be in the Premier League against Burnley this weekend before they start the Champions League campaign next week.
