The 2025–26 season starts on Sunday with Premier League champions Liverpool opposite FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the Shield Community in Wembley Stadium.
The Reds have a proud history in the competition and try to lift the trophy for the first time since 2022 in their 25th performance. Only Manchester United and Arsenal have lifted the trophy more often than Liverpool’s 16 and this will be the third appearance in the fixture for decade.
