The Reds fought from two goals down to equalize late in the second half of the Premier League match, but a last-second winner from Amine Adli broke the hearts of the visitors at Dean Court.
Slot cited the two-day gap and short turnaround time between their visit to Marseille in the UEFA Champions League in midweek and this weekend’s match on the south coast as one of the main reasons for the defeat.

“Two days ago we had to play an away match in Europe. We are the only team that played the Champions League and had two days in between.”
