Liverpool Prodigy can be about to be about long -awaited comeback after injury nightmare

Fans of Liverpool could soon have a long-awaited comeback to enjoy, because an injuries-destroyed Reds player closer to full fitness edges.

It is now three years since Stefan Bajcetic broke the first team in Anfield, and he started against Real Madrid in the Champions League only six months after his senior debut, but unfortunately the football gods have not been nice for him since then.

An adductor injury ended prematurely that breakthrough 2022/23 campaign, and in the meantime he had to loan Red Bull Salzburg and Las Palmas, although he was impressed by the latter despite their Leafa relegation last season.

The young person in Liverpool recovered from a hamstring operation in May and played no role in the tour of the Reds for the season to Asia, although he now seems to be approaching a comeback.

Bajcetic Nearby Match Fitness for Liverpool

As reported by Lewis Steele in his last Liverpool confidential Feature for Mail Sport, the 20-year-old is ‘closer to matching fitness’ and participating in full training sessions after his long recovery.

The Spanish young person could stand in line for LFC’s Under-21s in the coming weeks, and Arne Slot asked him to stay in Anfield this season, despite a sharp interest from different clubs in Europe.

Bajcetic clearly injured by Liverpool after final request

Bajcetic has only played three times for the Reds over the past two years, the most recently as a replacement in a Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur in May 2024 (Transfer market), so he has a lot of ground to make up for it if he has to make his way back to the first team.

In stark contrast with when he broke through in Liverpool three seasons ago, the competition for serces in midfield on Anfield is now fierce, and the 20-year-old will be a squadron player at best in the coming months.

Before Slot, however, to convince him to stay on Merseyside for this period, it is clear that the head coach has faith in playing a role for LFC during the 2025/26 campaign, especially when so many other outputs were punished in the summer.

Hopefully Bajcetic will soon get a few minutes on the field for Rob Page’s Under-21s and will gradually work his way to consider senior game time later in the fall.

The Spanish prodigy is because of the terrible happiness he has had in recent years with injuries he has had in recent years.
