Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda is reportedly a target for Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window.
It’s no secret that Liverpool need more depth in the attacking unit. They have identified the Japanese International as a potential target. According to a report from 1908.NLLiverpool have looked to the 27-year-old as a solution to their attacking problems, especially with Alexander Isak sidelined for quite some time with a broken fibula.
Ayase Ueda is in red-hot form
The Japan international is currently in scintillating form he has 19 goals in 25 games across all competitions. He has been shortlisted for Liverpool, along with several other attacking players such as Karim Adeyemi, Igor Thiago, Omar Marmoush and Bradley Barcola.
It will be interesting to see if they follow up on their interest with an official offer to sign the player from the Dutch team. Convincing the forward to join the club won’t be difficult. It would be a huge opportunity for him and he will probably be tempted to move to Liverpool.
Liverpool has had a disappointing start to the season and is fourth in the table. They spent a significant amount of money at the start of the season and were expected to win the league title. They will be desperate to come back strong during the second half of the season and close the gap on their rivals.
Ueda could be a useful addition

The Japanese forward could certainly help them improve in the second half. He has the technical attributes to do well in English football and will be keen to take on a new challenge at this stage of his career.
Wataru Endo could potentially play a key role in convincing his talent to move to Anfield. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
