Arsenal are reportedly considering making a move to sign AC Milan defender Davide Bartesaghi in January Caught offside.
The Gunners decided to strengthen the left side of the defense by signing Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapié in the last two summer windows. The Ecuadorian has been taken over on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, with the obligation to make the move permanent next year.

Both are versatile left-footed centre-backs and are also comfortable in the LB position. In addition, Myles Lewis-Skelly is an option to provide cover at left back.
However, Arsenal have suffered from numerous injury problems at the back, with Gabriel Magalhaes, Cristhian Mosquera and Ben White ruled out for weeks due to their respective problems.
As a result, Arteta currently lacks decent depth in defense as Arsenal look to challenge on all fronts this season. So, Caught offside declare that they are considering signing Bartesaghi in January after being impressed by his recent eye-catching performances at the San Siro Stadium.
However, the purchase of the 19-year-old will not be easy for the north London club as Manchester City and Real Madrid are also interested in him.
With the youngster still under contract until 2030, Milan are in no rush to sell him and have put a £39 million price tag on his head. However, they don’t want to weaken their squad mid-season.
B Blessed for Arsenal
As such, Arsenal have lined up an alternative option if they ultimately fail to sign Bartesaghi and have identified Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown as a potential target.
Like Hincapié and Calafiori, Bartesaghi, who stands 6 feet tall, is a versatile left-footed defender; he feels comfortable in the left back and center back positions.
In 13 appearances across all competitions, the defender has contributed three goals and kept five clean sheets so far this season, helping his side to the title.
Bartesaghi is a talented player and could be a big move for Arsenal looking to their long-term future should they sign him. However, it will be interesting to see whether the Emirates club will ultimately make a concrete move to secure his services in January or next summer.
