Blues -Team confirmed

There are no late changes for the blues, which are 1-17.

That means that Stephen Crichton has recovered from that cork.

Partner versus size, etc …

Evening Simon! Here we are! I love this time of the year. The passion is tangible and the rivalry deep -rooted. And so I have to explain that all friendship ends with the ‘north of the border’ for the 80 minutes – even with that above in Rocky (… Mike ….) … and even the Brisbane Blog Office (including Essex ex -pats). Note how the world stopped playing for all of us? Let’s have a cracker of a game. Best side wins.

– Old Timer

I’m looking forward to it, old timer.

Remember that if you wanted to come up with the conversation, you want to leave a yellowish button to leave a reaction and we will get as much as possible as we can during the night.

Blues has had ‘a really good week’: Crichton

Angus Crichton now speaks to nine.

“We had a really good week of preparation and we are ready to go,” he says.

He adds that he will defend Mitch Moses outside of Mitch Tonight.

“I am excited, man, I think it’s my first time I play outside of him, so a lot of work has been done this week, getting that combination good and making sure that I am in the right places at the right time.”

‘It’s always a time I cherish’: Daly Cherry-Evans

Daly Cherry-Evans speaks on Channel 9 from the Marrons bus.

“This is where it all starts to hit that you are about to play a different game of origin,” says DCE.

“The nerves come in and start sharpening your focus.

“It’s always a time that I cherish, this bus ride.”

Channel 9 coverage has begun

And it started with a series of current players walking through a representation of old childhood referee, interspersed with highlights of the centuries.

“It’s like we’re in a room full of spirits,” says a player.

Emotional things, and we are ready to roll with origin I.

An optimistic Qlder

Hello Simon, Nick, Mick and Jon (Dean couldn’t make it tonight?) As Qlder, I think we have tonight and the series in the bag – I look forward to see how much resistance NSW can collect.

– Mike

Mike, I love your optimism.

And look, they even let in some blues!

Brisbane Lions back the Maroons

A nice piece of cross-code love from the Brisbane Lions to the Queensland team today.

They wore Maroons Jersey’s for their captains who ran against Essendon before the aflot of tomorrow.

Spencer Leniu in the shooting line

The local newspapers are never shy to get used to controversy in Queensland, and this series started in that similar vein, a back-page branding blues Firebrand Spencer Leniu a “Grub”.

Leniu undoubtedly earned his status as the subject of Queensland’s anger because of his spit with Johnathan Thurston earlier this year.

Laurie Daley said, however, that Leniu was unfair on the goal.

“Grub is a heavy word … he is a good person,” said Daley.

“He will be fine. He has a plan, everyone has his back and I don’t think the crowd will jump in and do something.”

Spying accusations, injuries and headlines

It can only be origin, right?

New South Wales has received a bit of a memory of the origin circus – and that they are very much in the enemy field this week – in recent days.

Not that the Laurie Daley was bothered.

“I can’t complain about something that happened this week,” he said yesterday.

“That is part of origin, you just have to roll with the punches and not be postponed at all.

“There is always a challenge around the origin, it doesn’t take our focus away.”

The spy drama came after Stephen Crichton was seen limping from a closed training session, which led to New South Wales who ordered staff from Lang Park during yesterday’s closed training run.

“If it is a private session (you are) always disappointed when such things are leaked,” he said.

“That will all be part of the [game one] Review when we continue what we could do better.

“We can prevent people from training; we don’t want it, but that can be part of what to do.

“You expect that if you invite people to you, the rules will know.”

Thirty years later, the miracle of the State of Origin from 1995 is still a story without an end

This week is 30 years ago that the side of Paul Vautin, the so -called ‘Neville Nobodies’, has drawn the greatest upset in the history of origin.

Seems a perfectly appropriate time for those stories to tell again, what exactly is what Nick Campton has done.

If you are a Queenslander, you know the story.

If you are a blues fan, you probably tried to forget it.

Anyway, this is a great piece to get you in the origin of the origin.

What time is it kicking?

It is the biggest question on everyone’s lips.

According to the NRL, the start is Aest at 8:05 pm.

This is normally a bit flexible to be honest, but they were not far away from memory last year.

So let’s say some time shortly after 8 p.m. Queensland/New South Wales time.

Will Stephen Crichton play?

(Getty Images)

So Stephen Crichton is going to stand in line today for the blues?

The Bulldogs Center is on his way to the game under an injury cloud after he left in Ballymore during the training on Monday.

Nor did he participate in the run of yesterday’s captain.

It is believed that he suffers from a quad injury and a cork in his leg.

Campbell Graham comes in the starting XIII if Crichton cannot fit.

But I would be astonished if he didn’t make it, even if Gorden Tallis said last night on Fox Sports that he had “a feeling” that the center would miss.

Team news, early update

This is what the teams looked like today from lunch.

This does not mean that there are no changes when the last teams are announced about an hour before the start.

State of origin: Game One

Good evening people and welcome to the ABC Sport coverage of State of Origin I from the Long Park of Brisbane!

My name is Simon Smale And I will send the ABC’s ship to this opening Salvo from the men’s campaign for men, with Nick CamptonMichael Doyle And Jon Healy On location on site for all action, response and interactions that we expect from this terrifying rivalry.

The capital of Queensland Zoemt today, with supporters covered with chestnut brown who fall out of bars in the city as a claret from a bottle of wine, with a little blues fans here and there also about the place.

Much of the smart money seems to be a blues victory – if you can mention bet if you are smart – but would you exclude Queensland in their own boiler?

Time will learn it.
