Liv Golf will visit Africa in 2026 with a new tournament in South Africa that is confirmed to be part of the 2026 schedule.
The very first South African event will be held from 20-22 March 2026 in Steyn City as the Life Golf Tour Stranding to Africa.
The 14-event calendar is already visiting the United States, North America in Mexico, Europe, Asia and Australia and will add a fifth continent to the list in 2026.
Steyn City, designed by Nicklaus Design, is located just outside Johannesburg in South Africa and has previously organized the DP World Tour.
The South African debut is part of Liv’s multi-year commitment to the region, which means that the tournament will be a recurring peak at the calendar of the competition.
Liv Golf CEO Scott O
“We bring the best players in the world of Golf, and we bring airplane flights and we fill hotel rooms and we fill restaurants.
“In Australia we had $ 84 million US from economic impact last year. We have no plans to leave and every plan to lay a real foundation here.”
The event in Steyn City will be extra special for Liv Golf’s Stinger GC team, which consists of an All-South African Line-up by Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester.
“It is always special to compete at home, and I am incredibly proud of bringing Liv Golf to South Africa for the first time,” said Oosthuizen.
“For burning, Charl, Dean and I to play for our fans, friends and families, there will be an unforgettable experience.
“South African sports fans love their golf, and I am sure they will turn out in large numbers. South Africa has given us so much, and now we can give something back.”
