DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is currently going through a difficult time in Coronation Street and it has taken its toll at her work.
The detective has always been someone to throw herself into the action – even if that meant she was in danger – but tonight’s episode saw her freeze when she was confronted with a masked thief.
The masked attacker fled from the corner shop with £ 6000 cash, with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) shouted after him.
Lisa’s lack of action led to concern about Carla Connor (Alison King), although Lisa, when she interviewed her, insisted that she was doing well.
Later, however, it all became too much for the detective, which broke and admitted that she was not doing well.
She confessed that she was worried that she could never go back to active service if she continued to freeze in the face of danger.

In recent weeks after making an error at work, Lisa has been relegated to Desk obligation, which led to Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) undergoing an attack while he was in detention.
To get back into active service, Lisa has been instructed to undergo a therapy course, and so far it has not gone well.
Lisa struggled to open about how she felt and was very fast to close every conversation about her deceased wife, Becky Swain.

Later, despite Carla’s reassuring that she was a good detective, Lisa continued to spiral.
She revealed that she could not stop thinking about Becky, and the possibility that her deceased wife was really corrupt.
Before things got out of hand, Carla jumped in and he insisted at Lisa to look at the future instead of making himself crazy by fixing himself on the past.
Will Lisa follow her advice, or will she refuse to drop the case until she reaches the truth?
