The death of UFC lightweight rates The grandmother of Ziam has seen him withdraw this Saturday from UFC Paris.
Van Ziam (17-4) was expected to deal with Kaue Fernandes during the Fight Night event, in a main map. The French star stands on a five-field profit reak with, among other things, victories over Jai Herbert and Matt FROPLA. To date, he had fought on (and won) all the trips from the UFC to Paris, starting with the debut of the promotion in the Accor Arena in 2022.
Ziam went to social media This week to announce his withdrawal from the fight.
“After the sudden death of my grandmother, her funeral arrangements in France and abroad, I regret [having] To cancel my participation in UFC Paris on 6 September, “wrote Ziam (Auto-TransLation via Instagram).” Family is my priority. “
It is still to be seen whether an opponent is found for Fernandes.
